Salvation Army’s Christmas Family Feast feeds 3,000 guests at Baird Center

Asia Rhoda was a little girl when her grandmother started bringing her to the Salvation Army’s Christmas Family Feast. Now, as a mother of four young children, she couldn’t imagine any other tradition.

“It’s a blessing to be able to still be here with my family and with so many other people enjoying the holidays,” Rhoda said. “Not everyone has a family to be with Christmas, but today, everyone here is family.”

Rhoda and her children, age 7, 5, 3 and 1, wore their Christmas best and posed with a cheerful Grinch. Her 7-year-old son was eager to head to the other end of the Baird Center to meet Santa Claus. He was far from alone…
