(COLORADO SPRINGS) — The North Face, Pikes Peak Alpine School, and the Independent Film Society of Colorado are bringing two mountainous documentaries to the big screen for the first time on Thursday, Jan. 15.
The two films chronicle the journeys of North Face athlete Jim Morrison and other ski mountaineers as they scale the world’s tallest peaks from the Himalayas to the Karakorum, before skiing down their summits. The second film in the double feature, Trango, actually covers the first-ever ski descent of Pakistan’s 6,000-meter Great Trango Tower.
