BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — A man who pleaded no contest to a misdemeanor drunken driving charge has been sentenced in connection with a crash that killed a pedestrian crossing East California Avenue outside a crosswalk.
Timothy Suniga entered the no contest plea last week and was sentenced to 25 days in jail with the option to serve work release, according to the Kern County District Attorney’s Office. He also must serve three years’ probation and pay restitution and fines.
