The City of Hoboken promoted five police officers and two firefighters before swearing in three new firefighters in back-to-back City Hall ceremonies yesterday.
“Over the past eight years, I’ve had the privilege of attending many ceremonies, honoring our dedicated police officers and firefighters. I am deeply grateful to every single one of them and congratulate those being recognized today,” outgoing Mayor Ravi Bhalla said in a statement.
“While this may be my final public safety ceremony as mayor, my family and I, as residents, will forever be grateful for the service and sacrifice of those here today, their colleagues, and their families.”
During the police department ceremony, City Clerk James Farina administered the oaths of office to Lts. Corrado “Dino” Allegretta and Keith Rotondi as they were promoted to the rank of captain, while Sgts. William Bullock, Jason Falco, and Francis “Duke” McCourt earned the rank of lieutenant…
