The Buffalo & Erie County Public Library says access to the Hoopla streaming service will end in the new year. This eliminates access to free streaming movies, TV shows, music, e-books and audiobooks.
The library said the pay-per-use model from Hoopla has become an unsustainable expense.
“Like many libraries across the country, the Buffalo & Erie County Public Library has seen a signifigant increase in costs for digital materials,” the library said in a press release. “Unfortunately, Hoopla’s pay-per-use model, in which a library is charged each time an item is borrowed, has become an unsustainable expense for our library.”…
