Generous donations have once again helped bring holiday cheer to local families through the Kentucky State Police Post 2 Shop with a Trooper program.
Officials with the Kentucky State Police Professional Association Chapter 2 – Shop with a Cop said they were honored to help 73 children shop for Christmas this year, thanks to the generosity of donors across their seven-county region, which includes Caldwell, Christian, Crittenden, Hopkins, Muhlenberg, Todd, and Webster counties. Because of the donations, they noted this 100% donation-funded program continues to make Christmas a little brighter for families in these communities.
They noted that each child was given $100 to purchase essential items, with an additional $25 reserved for a special “just because” gift, something fun to remind them they are cared for and deserving of joy…
