Indiana CEO says $400K lobster shipment hijacked en route to Costco locations

TAUNTON, Mass. (WKRC) — An Indiana CEO said thousands of dollars’ worth of lobsters were hijacked while en route to Costco locations.

According to WFLD, Dylan Rexing, the CEO of Rexing Companies, a logistics firm based in Evansville, Indiana, said a large shipment of lobsters vanished after being picked up in Taunton, Massachusetts.

Rexing told the outlet that the theft appears to be connected to an organized cargo crime ring that is actively targeting high-value goods.

“This is a huge issue across the country,” Rexing told WFLD. “It directly impacts businesses and contributes to higher prices for consumers.”…
