Groveland Woman Killed, Three Injured in Multi-Vehicle Crash Near Clermont

A tragic five-vehicle collision yesterday near Clermont resulted in the death of a Groveland woman and injuries to three other individuals. As reported by Inside Lake, the incident, which involved a mix of vehicles including a 2017 Audi A7 and a 2023 Honda Civic, unfolded shortly before 5 p.m. at the intersection of U.S. Highway 27 and Greater Groves Boulevard. The Florida Highway Patrol continues to investigate the cause of the crash that led to a temporary roadblock at the intersection.

The situation rapidly escalated when the Audi A7 failed to slow down, striking the Lexus RX that was traveling in the same direction. Subsequently, the Audi collided with a Subaru Outback that was stopped, as detailed in a statement obtained by ClickOrlando.

The debris from the collision went on to hit the Civic, and the Subaru was then hit by the Camry. The driver of the Audi, a 50-year-old woman from Groveland, was airlifted to the hospital but sadly did not survive. The driver and the passenger of the Subaru, along with the driver of the Camry, were taken to the hospital to treat non-life-threatening injuries…
