YARDLEY, BUCKS CO. (WOLF) — Drivers who regularly cross the Delaware River should prepare to pay more at the start of the new year. The Delaware River Joint Toll Bridge Commission says higher toll rates will take effect beginning January 1, 2026.
The new toll structure, approved by the commission’s board in November, applies to every vehicle class and all eight toll bridges operated by the bi-state agency in Pennsylvania and New Jersey. Officials say the increases are necessary to support major transportation projects, cover rising construction costs, and maintain stable financing through the municipal bond market.
The rate hikes will impact crossings at the Trenton–Morrisville Bridge on Route 1, Scudder Falls Bridge on I-295, the New Hope–Lambertville Bridge on Route 202, the I-78 Bridge, Easton–Phillipsburg on Route 22, Portland–Columbia, the Delaware Water Gap on I-80, and the Milford–Montague Bridge on Route 206…
