California mom wakes to find girl, 7, ‘stiff cold’ after abusing her to death: Police

A California mother and her boyfriend stand accused of killing a 7-year-old girl and seriously injuring her 5-year-old sister.

Jessica Savangsy, 26, from Roseville, California, told KXTV in a jailhouse interview earlier this week that she found her daughter, Adalynn, unresponsive on Monday morning, saying she was “just stiff cold” after she woke up at approximately 7 a.m.

The mother said she began crying and “just grabbed her,” adding, “I was just like, ‘I’m sorry. I’m sorry. I’m sorry.'”
