BEAUFORT COUNTY, S.C. (WCIV) — A woman who was injured in a deadly mass shooting at a bar and grill in Beaufort County in October has filed a lawsuit alleging negligence by the bar’s owner among other defendants.
Quinetta Clark filed the lawsuit on December 23 in the Beaufort County Court of Common Pleas. Named as defendants are Willie Turral, who owns and operates Willie’s Breakfast Bar and Grill on St. Helena Island, business entity Willie Turral Food Services LLC, James and Bernice Wright, who own the property, and alleged shooter Anferny Freeman.
Four people were killed in the shooting that occurred in the early hours of Oct. 12, 2025 and another 15 were injured. A 25th high school reunion party was taking place when the gunfire rang out, the Associated Press reported…
