CHICOPEE, Mass. (WWLP) – A Winter Weather Advisory is in effect for all of Berkshire, Hampden, and Hampshire counties from 7 p.m. Friday until 10 a.m. Saturday for accumulating snow.
Locals hopeful for a snowy Christmas season
Friday looks to start with the sun. Clouds will increase for Friday afternoon and evening. High temperatures will be in the mid-20s.
We expect snow to develop from west to east between 6:00 and 8:00 p.m. on Friday. Snow will continue for much of the night before ending from 6-9 a.m. Saturday, moving from west to east, and becoming more scattered in the late overnight hours. Low temperatures will be in the teens. There will likely be a sharp gradient with these snowfall totals. The most snow will fall in southern Berkshire County and western Hampden County, with the least falling in eastern Franklin County. The more south and west you are, the more snow you will see, while the further north and east you are, the less snow you will see.
Saturday will gradual get brighter with increasing sun and high temperatures in the upper 20s.
Sunday will have sunshine in the morning with increasing clouds later on bringing rain/sleet then switching to rain Monday due to warmer air…
