WILMINGTON, N.C. (WECT) – A Merry Christmas and a Happy Holidays to you! It’s that time of the year again to be with your friends and family…and start making plans for New Year’s Eve. I have scoured the internet to try and find some special NYE dinners around Wilmington.
This list is not exhaustive, only what I could find readily available online, so if you have a favorite place in mind, I would suggest giving them a call to see if they are 1) open and 2) have any special menus on tap for NYE. Pinpoint Restaurant – Come say goodbye to Pinpoint on New Year’s Eve. The famed restaurant in downtown Wilmington will close for good after NYE dinner service. Pinpoint will have a five-course tasting menu, featuring Tuna Tartare, Braised Pork Mezzaluna, Blood Orange Szechuan Sorbet, Steelhead Trout and a main course of Half Poussin or Koji Aged 1855 Hanger Steak. A dessert of Brandy Poached Apple rounds out the menu. I went last year and it was a real treat. Dinner is $110 per person.
Circa 1922 – Circa is another location I love for New Year’s Eve. The overall class of the restaurant is perfect for a night on the town. Circa has a three-course prix fixe menu, starting with options like Lobster Bisque or Beef Carpaccio, the main course ranges from Roasted Grouper, Duck Breast, 6 oz. Filet Mignon or a Whole Maine Lobster Thermidor for an additional fee. Dessert is Chai Entrement. The dinner is priced at $85 per person…
