Chicago police are looking for a man who fired shots toward an occupied vehicle in Belmont Cragin last week. The community alert, issued by CPD on Christmas Day, included photos of the suspect.
According to CPD, the shooting attempt occurred around 2:10 a.m. on Friday, December 19, 2025, in the 5400 block of West Diversey Avenue. Police said the offender was riding as the front seat passenger of a stolen vehicle when he fired a .45-caliber firearm toward another vehicle.
After the shots were fired, the stolen vehicle fled the scene, traveling north in the 2800 block of North Long Avenue. No injuries were reported…
