ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) — New speed humps were installed in a local neighborhood in early December. According to the City of Albuquerque, the speed humps are located on Avenida del Sol by the Twin Parks near Morningside and Constitution.

The speed humps are a project by the City of Albuquerque’s Neighborhood Traffic Management Program. “Adding speed humps to neighborhoods is a great way to slow down traffic and to keep drivers from cutting through neighborhood streets,” said Jennifer Turner, Director of the Department of Municipal Development. “These new speed humps will remind drivers that they are in a neighborhood with a popular park and to keep speeds at a safe level.”
Twenty-two speed humps were installed on neighborhood streets by the Neighborhood Traffic Management Program in 2025. Residents can ask for a speed hump to be installed in their neighborhood…
