EUGENE, Ore. — Local activists gathered at Washington Jefferson Park to spread holiday cheer by providing free meals to the homeless community on Christmas Day.
The event, organized by the nonprofit Neighbors Feeding Neighbors, offered traditional holiday meals, including mashed potatoes, ham, turkey, and homemade desserts.
One participant expressed gratitude, saying, “It means you can actually get a full belly. An actual full belly with hot food and it’s gonna be delicious. There are people who actually care.”…
