Phoenix-area fire officials give tips for safely removing used Christmas trees

PHOENIX (AZFamily) — With gifts unwrapped and the holidays coming to an end, Christmas clean-up is now well underway.

Officials say dried-out Christmas trees can pose serious fire risks, especially if they still have lights hanging on them. And if dry Christmas trees catch fire, the flames move quickly.
