ASHEVILLE, N.C. (WLOS) — A proposed five-story apartment and retail building on Depot Street advanced through Asheville’s design review process.
The project, proposed for 290 Depot St. in the River Arts District, calls for a five-story multi-family building with eight ground-floor retail spaces and apartments above. City planning staff told the Design Review Committee the site sits near the Clingman-Lyman interchange.
During the meeting, staff said the project is designed under the River Arts District’s shopfront rules and uses incentives tied to affordability.
