A man is facing multiple felonies after an altercation at the Fountain Valley Police Department, where he allegedly fired a gun and bit a police sergeant. Walter Corea Sanchez, 29, has been charged in connection with the incident that transpired after he refused to leave the department’s lobby.
The Orange County District Attorney’s Office reports that Sanchez grabbed an officer’s gun, discharged one round, although no one was hit by the gunfire, and then proceeded to bite a police sergeant when officers tried to detain him, this sequence of events adding to the charges against him and weaving a tapestry of violent struggle within the walls meant to symbolize law and order.
