New Carlisle bakery Cake Creations has closed indefinitely due in part to the owner’s recent death.
Cake Creations, at 11140 Milton-Carlisle Road, has experienced its share of challenges. The bakery was originally set to close in February its 11982 W. National Road location due to the owner’s illness, but instead moved to Evans Family Ranch and reopened in June. Owner Brooke Brewer died in November after a battle with cancer.
“We thank you for all of your business and support through all the years, and especially since our move back in June,” the business page shared on Facebook on Christmas Day. “All your well wishes and gratefulness for our sticking around has truly made this a difficult decision to make. There are several reasons why we’re closing up, but at the heart of the situation, Brooke’s recent passing has been nothing short of devastating to say the least.”…
