FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) – Homestead held off Center Grove in the opening round of the Spartans’ holiday tournament, while DeKalb opened their own shootout with a win over South Side to headline Friday’s slate of high school hoops in northeast Indiana.
At Homestead, the Spartans locked down Center Grove in a 49-41 win in the first round of their holiday tournament. On the other side of the eight-team bracket, Carroll fell to Zionsville in a 49-38 loss. Homestead will face Hamilton Southeastern in the semifinals on Saturday at 11:30 a.m. The winner of that matchup will play in the championship game at 5:30 p.m. at Spartan Arena.
