A social media post by the department, dated December 25th, outlined the initiative. “Starting today and running through the Christmas holiday, Knoxville Police Department Officers will conduct high-visibility traffic enforcement in an effort to prevent serious injury and fatal crashes on Knoxville roadways,” the announcement stated.
