Man shot in North Memphis as City reports suggest lowest crime in decades

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Memphis police are investigating a shooting in North Memphis that sent one man to the hospital Friday afternoon, even as city leaders point to a sharp decline in crime citywide.

Officers were called just after 2 p.m. to the 2000 block of Nedra Avenue, where a man was shot, according to police. The victim was taken to the hospital in non-critical condition.
