Mark Neuser was looking around for a place to eat Christmas dinner when he came across a listing for the Area Office on Aging’s holiday meal at the East Toledo Senior Center.
“If there’s a free meal anywhere, I’m going to try to get it,” he said with a grin Thursday while devouring a plate of ham, cheesy potatoes, and green beans almondine.
But Mr. Neuser, a West Toledo handyman and retired physical-therapy aide, ended up bumping into several familiar faces there, which escalated his Christmas meal to a social outing as well…
