Canyon teen’s competency hearing rescheduled in July 4th attack case

CANYON, Texas (KFDA) – The teen accused of planning a Fourth of July attack in Canyon is back in the Randall County Jail awaiting his competency hearing.

Alexander Hunt, 18, is federally charged with possession of components of explosives, terrorism, and the attempted capital murder of multiple persons.

On Monday, Hunt’s counsel filed a motion to continue the competency hearing following his stay at a designated hospital facility for evaluation…
