In the light of day, just past noon on Christmas Eve, a woman faced a harrowing ordeal on the 4600 block of W North Ave. The Chicago Police Department reports that an unknown male assailant forcibly pushed the victim into her vehicle in an apparent attempt to sexually assault her. This violent encounter was shockingly bold, occurring at approximately 12:30 p.m. The suspect is currently at large, having fled the scene in a white SUV with a sunroof, an Illinois license plate marking his trail.
