LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – Little Rock Zoo officials shared Friday that their sloth bear mother, Kayla, gave birth to two cubs over the weekend.
Kayla, officials said, had her cubs in the early hours of Dec. 21, and while checking the animals, keepers found the sloth bear taking care of them.

“This incredible milestone is part of an important collaboration with Philadelphia Zoo and the Sloth Bear Species Survival Plan in helping strengthen and grow the sloth bear population,” officials said.
