Man arrested after public assault near Fear Factory in Salt Lake City, police say

SALT LAKE CITY (ABC4) — A man was arrested after a public physical assault near Fear Factory in Salt Lake City Friday afternoon, according to Salt Lake City Police. The incident caused a large police presence in the area.

Just after 12:20 p.m. on Dec. 26, police responded to a domestic violence incident at the intersection of 600 West and 800 South in Salt Lake City. A physical assault took place outside in public view, according to Officer Jason Johnson, SLCPD.

A male suspect reportedly fled from police and hid on the nearby Fear Factory property. Utah Transit Authority (UTA) Police deployed a drone and were able to locate the individual, placing him under arrest shortly after.
