CRESCENT LAKE, ORE. – The buzz of excitement filled the air as snow enthusiasts returned to the mountains, eager to embrace the winter wonderland. The opening day at Willamette Pass saw eager riders hitting the slopes, even though the only hill available was the bunny hill due to insufficient snow levels.
“It feels awesome. Just love being in the snow, love being in the mountains and God’s creation. It’s really awesome. Yeah, it’s a good time. I’m glad they opened it,” said snowboarders Gunner Galvan and Branson Bounds, capturing the spirit of the day.
