Increase in frostbite cases seen at Alaska Regional Hospital

ANCHORAGE, Alaska (KTUU) – Alaska Regional Hospital is seeing an increase in frostbite cases right now as South Central’s cold cycle continues.

“I feel like just on my shift yesterday in the eight hours that was there, there’s probably four people that checked in for frostbite yesterday,” Dr. Zachary Gibson, an emergency physician at Alaska Regional Hospital, said.
