Charleston County detectives looking for leads 7 years after West Ashley man’s murder

CHARLESTON , S.C. (WCIV) — Seven years after a West Ashley man was gunned down outside of his home, Charleston County detectives are still searching for leads to track down his killer.

39-year-old Aubrey Zanders was shot on Ashley Hall Road just after 1 a.m. on Dec. 27, 2018. Detectives with the Charleston County Sheriff’s Office believe Zanders had encountered people attempting to break in to his storage area and shot him when he confronted them.

Zanders later died at the hospital, but was able to describe one of his assailants as a black male with dreadlocks, according to CCSO. No arrests have been made…
