CHAPEL HILL, N.C. (WNCN) — Firefighters were dispatched to a familiar home on Friday in Orange County.
A house that caught fire on Christmas Day in the 100 block of Stone Ridge Drive caught fire again on Friday morning, according to New Hope Volunteer Fire Department Chief Bill Blankenship.

He said no cause has been determined in either fire, and in both cases, no one was injured. The cause of both fires is under investigation by the Orange County Fire Marshal and the Orange County Sheriff’s Office.
Thursday’s fire originated in the garage of the home and went on to damage 50-75% of the structure, burning for more than an hour before it was under control, Chief Blankenship said. Thursday’s response was widespread, including 13 departments with 30-40 personnel working to battle the fire.
As for the damage, Chief Blankeship said four vehicles and a motorcycle were completely destroyed in the garage area, but firefighters did take action to try to salvage any gifts in the home at the time…
