A dense fog advisory was released by the National Weather Service on Thursday at 10:53 p.m. valid from 11 p.m. until Friday 10 a.m. for Blount, Etowah, Calhoun, Cherokee, Cleburne, Jefferson, Shelby, St. Clair, Talladega, Clay, Randolph, Chambers, Lee and Russell counties.
The weather service says to be ready for, “Visibility one quarter mile or less in dense fog.”
“Low visibility could make driving conditions hazardous,” adds the weather service. “If driving, slow down, use your headlights, and leave plenty of distance ahead of you.”
