3 South Carolina cases reported in Salmonella outbreak linked to raw oysters

CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCBD) – A Salmonella outbreak linked to raw oysters has sickened three people in South Carolina, according to the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).

In total, 64 cases have been reported in the outbreak, which the CDC and FDA are investigating, with individuals stating they ate raw oysters. Of the reported cases, 20 have reported hospitalization.
