USDA imposes sanctions on Reedley produce business

REEDLEY – A Reedley business has been penalized by the United States Department of Agriculture for failing to meet contractual obligations and failing to comply with a USDA order.

According to a Dec. 19 press release, the USDA imposed sanctions against Integral Fresh LLC, which operates out of Reedley, along with four other produce businesses in California, New York and Washington. The USDA said these businesses failed to pay reparation awards issued under the Perishable Agricultural Commodities Act (PACA).

“By issuing these penalties, USDA continues to enforce the prompt and full payment for produce while protecting the rights of sellers and buyers in the marketplace,” the press release said…
