GUN PLAIN TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) — A bicyclist died Christmas night after being hit by a car near the city of Plainwell, Michigan State Police say.
A 52-year-old Plainwell-area man was riding his bicycle north on 10th Street near Miller Road around 7 p.m. Dec. 25 when he was struck by a car, MSP said in a releaseFriday. He died at the scene. The car’s driver, a 40-year-old man from Kalamazoo, was also travelling northbound during heavy fog conditions.
The bicyclist was not wearing reflective gear at the time of the crash, police said. Investigators do not believe drugs or alcohol were a factor in the crash…
