HARRISBURG, Pa. (WHTM) — A crash closed a lane on Harrisburg’s I-83 bridge and injured at least one person Friday as wintry conditions freeze the Midstate.
Shortly after 8 p.m., someone stopped their vehicle and got out to look at something on the bridge, when another vehicle pulled behind them, said Fritzi Schreffler, spokesperson for PennDOT District 8. Schreffler said it appears another vehicle hit that one, “causing a chain reaction that hit the person who was outside their vehicle.”
The incident closed the northbound right lane until around 9:30 p.m., Schreffler said.
