Kentucky firefighters save dog from hole in time for Christmas

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (FOX 56) — Firefighters in Jefferson County were called to help rescue a dog on Christmas Eve.

The Pleasure Ridge Park Fire District said its rescue teams had a “ruff call” Wednesday, after a dog fell into an abandoned septic tank.

Crews from Engine 89, Engine 88, and Rescue 88 were called to Krages Avenue, near Pendleton Road off Dixie Highway.

When they arrived, they found a small, gray and white dog at the bottom of a deep hole in the front yard of a home…
