The proposed West Perry elementary consolidation project continues to be a major source of contention in the district.
The board gave an update Dec. 8 on the project and then took input from numerous concerned citizens.
Board member Katherine Stover reported on the schematic design phase and presented the anticipated benefits of the consolidation. They include better equalization of class sizes and educational experiences at the elementary level, potential greater course offerings and easier movement of staff between facilities.
