Wisconsin only has one listed libero on the roster for next season. Last year, head coach Kelly Sheffield had four, and three of them were high-profile recruits at one point. The depth is remarkably thin, and the coaching staff will need to dig deep to find a libero in the transfer portal.
There’s not a lot out there at the position, and while Sheffield will probably pull a rabbit out of his hat with the backup libero, it’s hard to see exactly where the player will come from. The best liberos in the portal are the two who left Wisconsin: Aniya Warren and Maile Chan.
There is one potential option that has a lot of intrigue and would not just serve as a backup but have a clear role in the rotation for the Badgers: Dillyn Griffin from Pitt.
