Apartment fire displaces dozens of families Christmas Day; Milwaukee leaders push for better fire safety regulation

MILWAUKEE, Wis. — Dozens of families are left without a home after their 46-unit apartment building caught fire on Christmas morning. The Red Cross is assisting them with temporary housing.

It happened at the Colonial Creek Apartments near 60th Street and Cold Spring Road, which is on the border of Milwaukee and Greenfield.
