STAR, Idaho — While many families spent Christmas morning opening presents and celebrating at home, a 12 year old from southwest Idaho was out delivering what he calls “blessing bags” to people in need, continuing a holiday tradition he started three years ago.
Tugg, a junior high student from Star, spent Christmas Day handing out dozens of care packages filled with basic necessities such as toothbrushes, toothpaste, gloves and socks. This year’s effort grew well beyond what he initially expected.
“They’re like small goody bags,” Tugg said, explaining that the goal was to go “above and beyond” for people who may not have much to look forward to during the holidays…
