Caldwell mayor recaps the past four years as term comes to an end

CALDWELL — Through the smiles and frustrations that came with serving the unique city of Caldwell, its outgoing mayor looked back on his favorite moments, top accomplishments and, with hindsight, the handling of difficult situations as he prepares to leave office.

Jarom Wagoner, the 48-year-old father and longtime public service professional, hoped he could continue to steer Caldwell in the right direction after he became the city’s first new mayor in 24 years in 2022.

Over the past four years with Wagoner at the helm, Caldwell has been ranked among the top 100 fastest-growing cities in the country by the U.S. Census Bureau, was one of five cities globally this year to receive the Global JustServe City Award for its commitment to volunteerism, and had its new comprehensive plan awarded with the Outstanding Plan Award by the Idaho Chapter of the American Planning Association…
