Woman allegedly skip-scans $308 worth of apparel at Walmart

A Minneola woman will appear in court next week for skip-scanning $308 worth of apparel at Walmart.

A loss prevention employee of Walmart, located at 1450 John’s Lake Rd., saw 33-year-old Patricia Marie Weber bag items without paying for them around 12:25 p.m., Dec. 14, according to a case report from the Clermont Police Department.

Knowing this, he paused the transaction to allow the self-checkout host to intervene. But Weber continued passing items into the bagging area without scanning them. She proceeded to pay for what had been scanned and tried to leave the store, the report said…
