Police: Pagan’s Motorcycle Club members flee after stabbing in Tazewell

TAZEWELL, Tenn. (WATE) — An altercation outside of a Tazewell convenience store and a police pursuit across two counties reportedly involving members of an outlaw motorcycle club is under investigation Saturday.

Tazewell police officers responded to Catdaddy’s Market in the 1400 block of North Broad Street around 4:40 p.m. after reports of a large disturbance involving several motorcyclists. One victim was found suffering from a stab wound to the chest and transported to the University of Tennessee Medical Center by helicopter.

Officers attempted to stop several of the motorcyclists identified as members of Pagan’s Motorcycle Club at the scene, said Tazewell Police Chief Jeremy Myers said in a statement.

A New Tazewell police officer was able to apprehend one of the involved parties. Motorcyclists entered Union County while attempting to evade law enforcement. One of the bikes crashed in a construction zone near the Knox County line and was transported to UT Medical Center.
