MOBILE, Ala. (WALA) – The Happy Bug is a heartfelt children’s book inspired by a real-life VW Bug and the legacy of Chase Sharp, written by local author and widow Elizabeth Sharp.
After losing her husband in a tragic car accident when their daughter was just nine weeks old & her bonus son was 13. Elizabeth turned grief into purpose by writing The Happy Bug — a book that helps children and families navigate loss while still holding onto joy. The book includes real-life photos and a coloring section to help kids process big emotions in a gentle, meaningful way.
