A Villager has landed back behind bars, a year after attacking a woman.
James Darren Ivey, 59, of the Village of Polo Ridge, was originally arrested Dec. 27, 2024 after a woman showed up in a semen-stained robe at a Circle K at Southern Trace Plaza. She claimed she’d been attacked by Ivey, who had said he wanted to rape her.
Ivey was originally charged with sexual battery, but the charge was negotiated down to a charge of battery. He pleaded no contest and was released from jail this past Dec. 5, having been lodged there since his 2024 arrest…
