The Marketplace at Cowtown in Pilesgrove opened a few weeks ago in a newly constructed building that serves as a large expansion of the original Cowtown Outfitters. Cowtown Outfitters occupies the left side, The Marketplace is in the center, and the far right is home to the brand-new Bullhide Brewery, which we featured about a week ago.
The Marketplace at Cowtown takes over the prominent center position of this new timber-frame construction, offering a highly browsable experience where “every time I visit, I find something new.” It’s a foodie and housewares/gift marketplace designed to encourage slow strolling and discovery.
With a focus on fresh, locally-sourced ingredients, our store offers prepared meals, and snacks that complement the local experience. We frequently have samples of our cheeses, jams, snacks and drinks. You could fill up just on our samples!
During my recent visit, I caught up with Franny from The Marketplace at Cowtown, who gave me a tour of the beautiful country-themed store. The shop offers unique packaged food items, fresh made-in-store foods, and a broad selection of gifts and home décor.
The Marketplace is more than enough reason on its own to visit, but it also pairs perfectly with Bullhide Brewery next door. Any food items purchased at The Marketplace can be taken over to the brewery to enjoy alongside an ice-cold beer. Even Cowtown Outfitters has expanded, adding a large new hat room, making this Pilesgrove destination even more appealing…
