Austin Police Pulled Over a Motorcycle, but the Police Car Almost Ran Him Over for Not Putting on the Brakes: ‘He Seems Like a Pretty Chill State Trooper Honestly’

What started as a typical traffic stop on bustling Guadalupe Street ended up being a simple and quick call for attention with a genuine trooper as the protagonist. This is because a State Trooper in Austin, Texas, stopped a motorcyclist, but when he got out of the police car, the car kept moving because it had no brakes. It was undoubtedly something out of a police comedy sketch.

Redditor MonkFromSaturn_97 shared the video from orion.atx’s Instagram, the motorcyclist who appears in the video. In the recording, you can see an Austin State Trooper pull over the motorcyclist, and so far, so good, until the officer gets out of his police truck and it rolls slightly toward the road because the brakes weren’t on. So the trooper jumped like a ninja into the moving patrol car, trying to stop it by applying the brakes. It was actually quite a funny scene, but the motorcyclist managed to keep his composure and follow the officer’s orders. Finally, the trooper returned triumphantly to the motorcyclist, only to hear over the radio of another nearby chase that needed his immediate attention. In the blink of an eye, he left the poor, surprised motorcyclist behind and sped off toward the subsequent urban chaos. But not before warning the motorcyclist to be more careful.
