GREEN BAY, Wis. (WFRV) – Officials in Green Bay say three people are temporarily without a home after a fire ripped through the garage and nearly reached the interior of the house.

The Green Bay Metro Fire Department arrived at around 1:23 p.m. in the 1400 block of Liberty Street for a fully involved garage fire.
Responders say that there were heavy smoke conditions, and engines deployed hoses, fully extinguishing the fire quickly, which prevented it from causing further damage and reaching into the home.

The garage was severely damaged; however, and officials believe the large fire was suspected to be partially fueled by flammable items or excessive items in the garage.
